Lehigh Carbon Community College is a public community college located in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, North-West of Allentown.

We were engaged by Lehigh Carbon Community College to give a completely new look and pedestrian circulation system to this previously aging facility. This project was developed in three phases over 3 to 4 years. We were brought in late in the first phase to redocument, redesign and rebid the first phase of this project. This involved eliminating the previous landing strip like central sidewalk system; introducing two major pedestrian plaza areas that act as circulation and gathering points; providing accessible sidewalks from parking area and a formal entrance to the Administration Building.

Following the first phase we were engaged in overall master planning to help provide focus on opportunities for future development. The second phase included extending the first phase of redevelopment toward the recreation building, providing a good connection from the main campus to the library, wayfinding by incorporating a gazebo between the gym and the library and incorporation of new building construction for classrooms and public uses. The third phase was redevelopment of the softball, baseball and multi-purpose sports fields. McCloskey & Faber was responsible for master planning, design development, construction documentation and construction administration services for all work described above. We look forward to the next expansion of this newly refreshed facility.
