Village Square Shopping Center is in a Village Commercial Overlay Zoning District and is directly across from an upscale residential development along US 202 in Center Square.

To mitigate the view of the shopping center's parking area from the residential neighbor, a significant landscape buffer and berm were required by the township. McCloskey & Faber combined architectural walls, flagpoles and plant material to design an attractive yet effective buffer that creates an impression of arrival to the center before you enter from the street. Additional professional services included site landscaping, site lighting design, hardscape design and fine grading, site signage studies, zoning and municipal presentations.
