Acts Granite Farms is a 26-acre Lifecare Retirement Community with interior swimming pool, outdoor recreation and trail system in Media, PA.

As Landscape Architects for Acts Retirement Life, McCloskey & Faber has worked on this facility and many others including Lima Estates, Southampton Estates, Spring House Estates, Gwynedd Estates, Brittany Pointe Estates, Cokesbury Village and others.  On this project we worked in collaboration with Adventure Golf & Sports (formerly Adventure Golf Services).  Adventure Golf Services designed and constructed the golf holes,  McCloskey & Faber oversaw and commented on plans prepared by AGS and prepared documents for Landscaping, the Golf Shed and the central sidewalk ADA access.

We were engaged by the Owner, early in the planning process for the Mini-Golf facility to review different site locations within the facility and recommend where it would best be accommodated. In collaboration with their Civil Engineer we settled on the opportunity to remove a portion of the parking lot near the recently renovated Building E. The Owner selected a Miniature-Golf Designer that he had worked with in the past to develop the golf course design. Part of our responsibility was to review their work and recommend revisions to comply with the stringent safety guidelines for this facility. The final design includes 3 water features and six-holes of the nine originally designed. Each golf course hole is designed as a miniaturization of a famous golf hole. Our design and documentation included ADA access through the facility, planting design emulating the color schemes and plant types found at each of these famous golf holes, overall grading design, drainage design, landscape irrigation and site lighting design.
